Today we are celebrating Women and Girls in Science with our partner Petra Wülfroth, Ph.D.

Dr. Wülfroth is a pharmacist and pharmacologist by training with more than 30 years of international business experience in the pharmaceutical industry and consulting.

Coaching and mentoring life science companies has been a core principle of her business practice. With more than 20 years of experience working with start-up companies in the life sciences area, she has worked within the Venture Cup Science4Life in Germany and the Merck Innovation Cup, and is accredited Innosuisse Mentor fostering cooperation between life science companies and research institutions. She especially enjoys working together with young founders who are enthusiastic about bringing their scientific ideas to market.

She is also the co-founder of the Austrian bio-tech company, F4 Pharma GmbH. The company achieved public awareness during the Ebola crisis in West Africa when their most advanced development drug was applied under compassionate use in Germany and Sierra Leone.

Now, F4 is working as a partner in COVend focusing on the development of the company’s lead therapy for COVID-19 patients.
